Catalyst was selected by the Greater London Authority to develop the St Ann’s New Neighbourhood. Our proposals include retaining a number of the valued Victorian buildings on the site, which offer an opportunity for community uses in the interim as the site develops. This will allow St Ann’s to become a focal point for the local neighbourhood even before a single new home is built. You can find out more about these buildings by reading our Design Engagement Booklet or view them on a map by clicking the image below:
Peace and Wellness Festival
Part of Catalyst’s approach is to work with the local community, harnessing your skills and knowledge, not just to shape the final plans, but also the interim uses for the site. We have formed the Interim Uses Working Group, and with this support of this group, will be holding a Peace and Wellness Festival on Saturday 25 September from 12pm-6pm.
The event will be open to all and people can drop-in throughout, with a range of activities themed around peace and wellness, reflecting the site’s history as a former hospital. The event will promote and celebrate local activities, services and projects, and will give people the opportunity to provide feedback and ideas on the sort of interim uses they would like to see on the site.
The day will include:
- Drumming
- Poetry
- Storytelling
- Play
- Nature workshops
- Circus skills
- Participatory art
- Go Green activities
- Drawing
- Local history
- Dr Bike
- Food and refreshments for purchase!
- Face painting
